Linda Aust: Our Treasure

lindaI know you’ve seen her. She’s everywhere!
Linda Aust, Treasurer of the Redondo Beach Historical Society, has her hand in everything to do with Redondo history. She worked countless weekends for many years on the Morrell House restoration; sanding, painting, and whatever else was needed. When the Historical Society was granted custodianship of the property she worked to obtain donations of furnishings and other artifacts depicting early Redondo. She is now the Facility Director at the Morrell House and provides tours most weekends and arranges to open the facility for local non-profits to hold meetings.
Linda and her husband, Pat, grew up in Redondo Beach and they not only have fond memories of Redondo but they have various collections of memorabilia especially local items.
Linda was a technical advisor for the Redondo Beach postcard book published in 2006 by Arcadia Publishing. She has more recently provided historical information for a new book to be released later this year by Wordpix Solutions chronicling the history of the local flower growers and the early Los Angeles flower market. She is also on the Alumni Association Board for Redondo Union High School and has worked on the historical calendar design and sales. The Redondo Beach Historical Society is lucky to have Linda among its Board Members and we want to thank her for all her contributions!
